Today when we woke up we all got ready to go hiking. WHen we got there we had to walk on a trail that leads to the crater. It was all like a rainforest in that part. When we finally got to the crater it was all rocky and and kinda hard to walk on. There was lots of cracks in the ground and some of them fell right to the lava chamber. There were alot of cracks that had steam coming out of them. We were walking through the crater for a long time untill we came to the end of it. Then we had to follow trail up back to the begining. It felt like we were in a dense tropical rainforest. Afterwards we went to rainbow falls and Akkah falls wich were both pretty cool. We drove back home and did some of our homework. Then later after dinner we went night swimming.

Did you see any different animals or insects that you've never seen before? Was it more humid there than in other places? You guys are having such a great experience - a life-long memory! Miss & love you so much!
